The Victorians

  • Have been heard the queen Victorian many times, about how she smart and her romantic love story . according read the history of  the Victorians we also can find there are a lot of excellent subject have been worked out since the Victorians from 1837 to 1914.
  • when Victoria was 18, she became Queen and married a German prince Albert who was later her 3 year . in 1861, Prince Albert died, the queen built the Royal Albert Hall and the Albert Memorial  in memory of him from then on Victoria always dressed in black.
  • She was very young queen and also got the longest time as a queen  almost 77 years. during this time The Italian Marconi developed radio communication in England. Darwin introduced his ideas about evolution. The Scotsman Bell created the first telephone in 1876 in the US. Improvements in medicine helped to prevent the spread of disease. Florence Nightingale was a famous nurse who organised the care of soldiers who were wounded in the Crimean War; after she returned to England she campaigned for cleaner hospitals and better training for nurses. Railways were built throughout Britain during the Victorian period by engineers such as Bunuel and Stephenson; many of the bridges, tunnels and stations built in this period are still used today. The London Underground was the world's first underground railway: the first line opened in 1863. Seaside towns such as Brighton and Blackpool became popular places for holidays, as the railways allowed people to travel there cheaply from the industrial towns.
